I am an internal medicine physician/hospitalist, and own ExtraMD PC. ExtraMD provides “fill in” physicians to practices that are busy or have a physician that is out of the office. In addition, ExtraMD is on a mission to educate physicians on the business of medicine. I want physicians to understand that they must keep the doors open to see patients, and hope that ExtraMD can help educate physicians on how to do this. I also want to help physicians to become leaders in the field of health care reform.
I have a husband (NOT in medicine!) and a daughter who loves all sports and wants to be a vet. I spend an inordinate time walking/running/biking my dog.
